Theatre at Willamette

All of our theatre performances are open to the public and we welcome the Salem community to the M. Lee Pelton Theatre on campus.

Willamette University Theatre produces three or four main stage plays, one dance concert and various student projects each season. Plus, each season we work to bring our audiences a compelling mix of classical and contemporary offerings.

We spare no effort in bringing you incredible performances. Willamette University's Department of Theatre has received national recognition as one of the nation’s top college theater programs offering bachelor's degrees.

“Tucked away in the Pacific Northwest, far from the lights of Broadway or Hollywood lies the best BA theatre program in the country. The program at Willamette University in Salem, OR is absolutely incredible. Students majoring in Theatre are provided with a range of experiences within all areas of the theatre: acting, directing, stagecraft, costume construction, design, dramaturgy, lighting, voice, movement, theatre history, and dramatic literature.”
