IDEA International High School Parliamentary Tournament of Champions (ITOC)

May 15–17, 2008

IDEA and the Willamette University Debate Union will conduct a parliamentary debate workshop on the afternoon of May15 and the morning of May 16. ITOC Debates begin n May 16 and continue through the afternoon of May 17.

International Debate Training in the People's Republic of China (FLTRP)

May 19- 20

In cooperation with the Foreign Language Reseach and Teaching Press, IDEA at Willamette University will sponsor a 2-day debate training in Beijing. The training will preceed the FLTRP Cup, the largest and most prestigious debate tournament in China. In addition to trainers from other major US universities, Professor Robert Trapp and Dean David Douglass will accompany three Willamette Students (Lin Lu, Matt Bolstad, and Allie Wils) to this event.
