Star Trees Re-Lighting and Holiday Celebration

Begin your evening with a special holiday dinner in Goudy Commons, continue with the celebration at the Star Trees and end with the holiday concert immediately following the lighting in Smith Auditorium.

Holiday Dinner

4:30-7 p.m. Goudy Commons

Bon Appetit is offering a special holiday dinner. No reservations are required. 

WU faculty/staff/students $8.75; Adults $11.75; Children 8-13 $8.50;
Children 7 and under - Free
Roasted sweet potato and farro salad with green grapes, kale and charred lemon vinaigrette
Green Goddess salad with mixed greens, red onion, apples, green garbanzos, cranberries and avocado vinaigrette
Farfalle and sun dried tomato, peas, spinach and parmesan cheese

Carving Station:
Prime Rib with garlic herb butter and pan jus sauce
Lemon and herb brined turkey breast

Rosemary roasted red potatoes
Garlic roasted cauliflower
Honey glazed delicata squash
Steamed broccoli

Cranberry apple strudel

Star Tree Lighting

6:30 p.m.  

After a three-year hiatus, the Star Trees will be re-lit as part of the commemoration of Willamette's 175th anniversary. The celebration will include singing from the Willamette Holiday Choir, s'mores, cocoa and cookies. Beta Theta Pi will accept coat and clothing donations under their hot cocoa and cookie tent. At about 6:45 p.m. we will enjoy a fanfare from the Willamette Brass Ensemble before we count down to watch the Star Trees sparkle with holiday lights.

Family Holiday Concert 

7 p.m. Smith Auditorium

Immediately following the lighting of the Star Trees, continue the celebration of the season with this holiday concert in Smith Auditorium featuring the University Wind Ensemble, University Chamber Orchestra and Jazz Collective who will perform an array of seasonal music to usher in the holidays. Free.
