Renovations at Baxter are well under way and on schedule. Crews completed demolishing the second- and third-floor restrooms and are now installing piping for plumbing. They will soon frame walls and install electrical wiring.
The renovation project will result in the creation of new rooms and greater connectivity throughout the Baxter Complex. Demolition is nearly complete, and concrete pours for new structural shear walls, rough-in plumbing and electrical wiring will begin shortly.
Access: Nearly all of Baxter Complex — except for the Bishop Wellness Center and Montag Center and den — is a construction zone. Only authorized Willamette staff are allowed in the area with hard hats and protective footwear.
Collins Science Lab Relocation
Demolition has concluded and construction has begun on the first and third floors. This project is expected to conclude on schedule by the start of fall semester.
Access: The first floor of Collins is off limits. The second floor remains open, and there is limited access to the third and fourth floors.
Sparks Athletic Center
Fire sprinklers are now in place in Henkle Gym. They were pressure tested on June 11 and are scheduled for inspection on June 15. From June 15-20, crews are expected to install sprinklers in Cone Field House.
