The College Orientation

Welcome to Opening Days, Willamette University’s New Student Orientation Program

Opening Days at Willamette College

Get ready for an exciting start to your journey at Willamette University! Our Opening Days program is designed to provide you with all the tools and resources you'll need throughout your first semester and beyond. Whether you're a first-year or transfer student, we can’t wait to meet you and welcome you to our vibrant community from August 21-25, with move-in day on August 21st.

About Opening Days

Opening Days is more than just an orientation—it's your gateway to becoming a part of the Willamette family. Our program is crafted to mirror the warmth, support, and excitement of our community.

Willamette students, supported by dedicated staff, take on leadership roles to develop and run Opening Days. This ensures you receive an authentic introduction to campus life, equipping you with the confidence and knowledge to thrive. From academics to wellness resources, you’ll find everything you need to start your journey at Willamette on the right foot.

Academics and Beyond

Your academic adventure begins with the College Colloquium, an introductory seminar designed to help you transition smoothly into Willamette's academic life. You'll form lasting connections with your peers and your colloquium professor, who will also be your first-year advisor.

But it’s not all about academics. Opening Days introduces you to the full spectrum of campus resources, including the Bishop Wellness Center, Academic Support, Career Development, and our extensive Library and technology resources. We're here to ensure you feel supported in every aspect of your university experience.
