Accessible Education Services

At Willamette University, we believe that accessibility and inclusivity are foundational to an enriching educational experience. Our Accessible Education Services (AES) is dedicated to facilitating a seamless accommodation request process and providing comprehensive support for students who experience disability or identify as disabled. We view disability as a vital facet of human diversity, deserving of recognition and respect. Through fostering social justice learning models, AES aims to cultivate an environment where every student feels valued and empowered.

AES is responsible for determining eligibility for both academic and non-academic accommodations, ensuring that all students have the resources they need to succeed. Beyond individual support, AES serves as a pivotal resource on accessibility issues for students, faculty, and staff across all academic programs at Willamette and the Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA). Our commitment to accessibility is unwavering, as we strive to create a community that celebrates diversity and promotes equal opportunities for all.

This relationship is an integral part of the Willamette experience, with advisors providing ongoing support as students explore the liberal arts and eventually choose a major.
