Bearcat Explorers Travel Program
The Explorers travel program seeks to engage the Willamette community in lifelong learning among good company! Join alumni, parents, and friends of Willamette as we explore the world near and far.
Opening Days
Commonly known on campus as "OD," Opening Days is more than an orientation program; it's a warm and welcoming initiation to the Willamette community. New students will get the opportunity to participate in activities, make new friends, ask questions of current students and scope out the beautiful and inviting Willamette University campus. Family and friends are also encouraged to attend and experience Opening Days alongside their WU student.
Family Weekend
At Family Weekend, parents, grandparents, and siblings will get a glimpse into life at Willamette University and experience what it is to be a Bearcat. Families will sit in on classes, meet faculty and staff members, and attend sports, theatre, and music events. Visitors will also have time to explore local Willamette Valley attractions.
Commencement
Commencement is an opportunity for family, friends, and the Willamette community to celebrate the completion of a Willamette University academic program. Willamette holds three commencement ceremonies in May for the College of Arts & Sciences, College of Law, and Atkinson Graduate School of Management, and one in June for the Graduate School of Education. Commencement should not be confused with graduation, a term that refers to the actual fulfillment of degree requirements and credits resulting in a diploma being processed. Rather, it is a time to celebrate, reflect and prepare for the road ahead. For commencement information specific to a particular school, click one of the links below.
