Biography
Chester Loeffler-Bell has been in the theatre business since 1985. Prior to joining Willamette University Theatre in the spring of 2024, he was on the theatre faculty at Marquette University, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for 20 years. Additionally, Chet has worked at theatres in Pennsylvania, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Massachusetts.
In Milwaukee, Chester had the opportunity to work with every major performance venue in the city, either as a member of the staff, stage crew, or guest lighting designer. Immediately prior to matriculating to graduate school, Chester took a sabbatical from the theatre business for a year to serve as Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Deputy.
Chester graduated from Carroll College in 1985 with a degree in Theatre, and from the University of South Carolina in 1995 with a Master in Fine Arts Theatrical Lighting Design.
