Shana Cooper

Shana is currently the Director of Love's Labor's Lost at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, where she was also the assistant director for Macbeth, Equivocation.  She is the Phil Killian Directing Fellow at O.S.F.

Willamette Repertory Theatre, Sonoma Repertory Theatre, California Shakespeare Theater Student Company, Washington Shakespeare Festival, Amherst College, Willamette University (Guest Artist), Magic Theatre's Young California Writer's Project.  Past directing credits also include the Off- Broadway remount of Virginia Stage Company’s production of Art as well as productions at Shotgun Players and PlayGround. Shana has also performed Off-Broadway with the Aquila Theatre Company, and is the recipient of a 2002 TCG Observership Grant.

Other credits: Cofounded New Theater House with Yale School of Drama alumni; associate artistic director, California Shakespeare Theater (2000-2004).

Awards: 2010 Princess Grace Award, Julian Milton Kaufman Memorial Prize in Directing (Yale School of Drama), Drama League Directing Fellow, TCG Observership Grant, G. Herbert Smith Presidential Scholarship.

Shana Cooper holds an MFA in directing Yale School of Drama, and a BA in Theatre at Willamette University.
