Small group discussion classes are designed to broaden ICL’s academic offerings and promote more personal involvement.

Some classes have predetermined dates and times while others will be determined by those who sign up. For more information, or to sign up, call the class coordinator.

How to Make a Power Point Presentation

Hands-on practice creating slides for your presentation. What makes for an effective slide show? Pitfalls to avoid. There will be two one hour classes, and you should attend both. Class will be limited to 10 persons. This class is geared toward the 2010 version of PowerPoint.

Acting Theory and Practice

This is a one day workshop. Work with a small group of ICL members. There will be no public presentation. This is just for your enjoyment. Limit 10 persons.

Theater Arts: Costuming

Spend a couple of hours with the staff of the Pelton Theatre learning how costumes are made and reused. Maximum 6 students.

Join Willamette theater students as Prof. Steck leads a discussion and demonstration on dramatic lighting theory and practice. Each of the seven sessions can be done alone, or attend all seven for the full course. Held at the theater.

Write in an encouraging environment. Respond to prompts or write whatever feels important to you. Maximum 10 students.

Join author Laura Stanfill for an intimate private lunch with up to 5 other ICL students in a small meeting room at Gaudy. Bring or buy your own lunch.

ICL’s Toastmasters Club

Join the world famous Toastmasters for practice speaking before groups both large and small. The atmosphere is very relaxed and supportive. Bring or buy your own lunch.

The class is open to ICL members and Willamette faculty, staff and students. Members may attend as they find convenient.
