Willamette receives high praise in latest Fiske Guide to Colleges

by University Communications,

Willamette is the “best little school you’ve never heard of,” according to the latest edition of Fiske Guide to Colleges.

The guide, which examined more than 300 colleges and universities in the United States, Great Britain and Canada, lauded Willamette for its personal atmosphere, rigorous academic offerings and small class sizes.

“Community is what sets Willamette apart,” said one student quoted in the guide. “Many of the Pacific Northwest schools look similar on paper, but once you step foot on campus, it is clear how warm and caring [Willamette] students, staff and faculty are.”

The book also praises Willamette’s close proximity to the Oregon State Capitol, extensive study abroad program and abundance of student research opportunities.
