Career Communities

Career communities at Willamette University provide strong support for you to engage in practical and meaningful career exploration in various industries and professions.

Communities are designed to be inclusive of opportunities that share a common theme, which allows you to discover and design your next steps.

During your first year, you're encouraged to explore academic and cocurricular engagement opportunities and reflect on the courses and experiences that are most compelling to you. By the end of your second year, you declare a major and explore additional opportunities within the communities, such as service learning, volunteering, and internships.

You will be encouraged to conduct informational interviews within your career community through the career development office. The connections you make with your network of professionals and alumni will last you well beyond graduation.

You have many choices for majors that provide the transferable skills desirable in today’s market. Willamette provides a solid foundation for a career in business, including both academic and applied opportunities.
