We cultivate relationships with students, alumni, faculty, parents and friends in service to Willamette’s mission. With their generous support, our students become leaders, our faculty advance their fields, and our motto echoes for future generations.
On behalf of the Advancement team, the Bearcat community, and all those who have benefited from Willamette’s service ethic, thank you for your interest in helping to advance Willamette.
Together, we do amazing things.
- We support 98% of the student body with academic scholarships every year.
- We cultivate notable alumni such as CEOs and senators, authors and artists.
- We carry on our proud, enduring tradition of ‘firsts’ instated in 1842.
Without your support, we could not achieve so much.
For example, tuition only covers 75% of our costs. Donor support and other sources bridge that gap.
Without that support, Willamette wouldn't have welcomed students like Meredith Marshburn ’18. “I love that Willamette is a community of open-minded, intellectual people,” she said. “Without help from donors, I wouldn’t be able to be here.”
For alumni like Karen Holman ’90, giving back is how she expresses her gratitude for her time on campus: “I experienced [the benefits of donors’ generosity] as a student myself, and now as a professor in the Chemistry department. When I first graduated, I just gave $10 a year. That’s all I could afford. But I was investing in this community I was a part of, and I’m still a part of it today.”
