Willamette University, through its Willamette College and School of Law, offers an accelerated undergraduate + J.D. program for academically qualified students in Willamette College. The program offers students the opportunity to earn a J.D. degree in Law and a liberal arts education with a BA or BS degree in six years.
Students in the program apply for admission to the School of Law during the junior year of their undergraduate work. Students who are admitted to the School of Law receive a bachelor's degree after successfully completing their first year of study at the School of Law.
By the end of their junior undergraduate year, students must:
Meet in person with the Willamette College program advisor and Law Admissions advisor.
Complete all general education requirements, major/minor requirements, and accrue a minimum of 96 undergraduate credit hours.
Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
Take the LSAT or the GRE and achieve a score that is no lower than the current median of the School of Law's most recent entering class. Students should plan on taking the LSAT or the GRE in the summer between their sophomore and junior year, but no later than March of their junior year.
Complete all required School of Law application materials and comply with all other School of Law admission requirements.
After admission to the JD program, students must complete the full requirements of the program Program.
