Student Scholarship Recognition Day
SSRD celebrates the scholarship and creativity of Willamette students, where they share their research, present performances, and display their work to fellow students, faculty, family, and friends.
Research Opportunities
Whether they are unraveling scientific mysteries, studying cultures around the globe or creating new artistic endeavors, Willamette undergraduates benefit from numerous opportunities to pursue artistic, scholarly and professional research.

Science Collaborative Research Program (SCRP)
Students spend the summer researching collaboratively with a natural sciences professor. At the end of the program, they communicate their findings through a an on-campus oral presentation and a poster display at a regional conference.

Carson Undergraduate Research Grants
Open to any discipline, Carson Grants offer Willamette sophomores and juniors the chance to participate in scholarly, creative or professional summer research projects. About 10 grants of up to $3,000 are available each year, plus additional funds for supplies.

College Colloquium Student Research Grants
Grants of up to $3,500 are available to first-year students interested in researching a topic related to their College Colloquium program, a first-semester course that immerses incoming students in the liberal arts environment.

President Scholarship
One or two juniors each year from any discipline receive this scholarship for one full semester's tuition for their senior year or a $5,000 graduate fellowship. It also includes $2,500 for research expenses the summer preceding their senior year.

iHuman Sciences Initiative
Students collaborate with faculty on research that ties exercise science or psychology to other disciplines. Research is conducted during the summer or the academic year. Students and faculty present their research on campus and at regional or national conferences.
