Curricular requirements, with credit counts
For the STEM-designated MBA students must take 34 credit hours of required courses with 11 core
courses. Out of the required credit hours, 15 credits (5 core courses) will be STEM-designated; these
courses are indicated below in bold. In addition, students must take at least 28 additional credits from
electives, out of which at least 21 must be from the list of STEM-designated MBA electives provided
below at the end of this proposal.
In addition to these requirements specific to the STEM MBA, all other graduation requirements currently
in place for the EC/CC program will also apply, including the completion of at least one experiential
elective course, competition of IKEWs, and so forth.

STEM One-Year MBA students complete all of the One-Year MBA program requirements, with at least 27 of the 45 credits being STEM-designated (see website).
Track 1 is for students with little or no post-baccalaureate business experience.
Track 2 is for students with two or more years of post-baccalaureate business experience.
Minimum Credits Required: One Year MBA students (track 1 and track 2) must satisfactorily complete a minimum of forty-five (45) credits of approved MBA course work and have no pending grades of “Incomplete.” The 45 credits include a total of twelve (12) approved courses as outlined below.

Additional Graduation Requirements for Both Track 1 and Track 2
Required Internship: A completed internship is required for graduation for Track 1 and Track 2. Internships completed prior to enrollment in the MBA program can be used to fulfill this requirement. If you have not completed an internship prior to enrollment, you can fulfill the internship requirement during the MBA program through the MBA elective course GSM7251 Internships for Management.
Required Experiential Elective: A minimum of four (4) credits from an Experiential Elective course is required for graduation as shown in the list of required courses. Experiential Elective courses are special elective courses that include a meaningful interaction with organizations or environments, input from the organizations or environments that affects the completion of a deliverable for the class, and an opportunity for students to formally reflect on the factors which led to the success or failure of the experiential activity. Experiential Elective courses are designated by the faculty and are identified on the schedule of classes. Students can take more than one Experiential Elective if they so choose.
Integrated Knowledge Experience Week (IKEW) Exercises: All One Year MBA students (Track 1 and Track 2) must satisfactorily complete the IKEW requirement of the MBA program.
