Applying to Willamette's MBA for Professionals Program

Application Requirements

To apply to the Willamette MBA for Professionals program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution (or equivalent from a foreign institution).
  • A minimum of 3 years of full-time, post-bachelor professional work experience.

Required Documents:

  • Online Application: Submit a free application, including personal information, a personal statement, a professional resume, and references.
  • Personal Statement: Describe your motivations for pursuing an MBA and how you will contribute to the program.
  • Professional Resume: Outline your career progression, achievements, and awards.
  • Two References: Provide contact information for two recommenders (one professional, one personal). Recommenders will receive a link to complete an online recommendation form.
  • Official Transcripts: Official transcripts of all academic coursework must be sent directly from your institution(s) or submitted in a sealed envelope. International transcripts must be in English or accompanied by a certified translation.
  • Admission Interview: If selected, you will be invited to an interview with a representative from the admissions staff.
  • GMAT/GRE Score: Submit a score from the last five years, unless eligible for a waiver based on qualifications (e.g., master's or doctoral degrees, managerial experience, or equivalent professional experience).

Admissions are rolling, and we recommend applying as soon as possible due to limited class sizes. Please note the following application deadlines:

  • January Start

    Early Action Deadline and Decision Release: Nov. 30/Dec. 22

    After Nov. 30, we accept applications on a rolling basis as space is available.

  • August Start

    Early Action Deadline and Decision Release: May 31/June 30

    After May 31, we accept applications on a rolling basis as space is available.
