Virtual Star Trees Lighting
Begins approximately at 7:00 PM PT
Tune in for a beloved Willamette tradition — livestreamed around the world — as the iconic Willamette Star Trees light up the Salem night sky.
Featuring:
- Words of reflection and celebration from Chaplain Ineda Pearl Adesanya
- Festive holiday carols from Willamette music students
- The magic of the tree lighting itself!
About the Star Trees
Planted by the Class of 1942 to honor the university’s 100th anniversary, these five giant Sequoias are the largest on any college or university campus in the U.S. Walk into the middle of them and look up to see a star-shaped sky. Each year since 1997, the campus has decorated the Star Trees with holiday lights for all to see and enjoy.
