1. ADA Accommodations

Upon request Willamette University will provide sign language interpreters and/or attempt to make accommodations for any other disabilities. If you need these services, please contact Campus Safety at 503-370-6911 a minimum of one month prior to Commencement Weekend.


2. Food and beverage

Blitz Market will be open 9am-7pm to purchase snacks and coffee. The Bookstore will be open 9 AM-11:30 AM to purchase WU gear, gifts, and snacks.

*Food and beverages are not allowed inside Hudson Hall.
*A reception will follow the Commencement ceremony at approximately 11AM.


3. Parking

No permits are required to park on Willamette's campus during Commencement. Handicapped parking is in the visitor parking lot (on the corner of Bellevue and Winter streets).


4. Photos

During Commencement, we ask that family members do not approach the stage to take pictures. The University has contracted with professional photographers to take photos of all graduates. These photos capture the moment graduates shake hands with President Thorsett and receive their diploma, along with portrait shots of the graduates as they exit the stage. The photographer will contact you about your proofs after the ceremony through your school email address.


5. Tickets

Tickets are not needed for the ceremonies and students are not limited in the number of guests they may bring.
