Tanya Cerda is an interdisciplinary artist, creative leader, and advocate for inclusive artistic communities. She is the Co-founder and Trustee of the N M Boedecker Creative Foundation and the Founder and Board Chair of the Sandy Boedecker Project, Inc. -collectively known as the Boedecker Foundation - organizations dedicated to empowering the next generation of creative problem solvers through arts education, mentorship, and innovation.
Grounded in the principles of visual storytelling, Tanya’s Bachelor of Fine Arts degree informs a career spanning over 15 years across the fashion, entertainment, and advertising industries. Her work in these fields deepened her understanding of how art and media can shape culture, elevate community narratives, and inspire connection across generations.
Motivated by a desire to create lasting impact, Tanya transitioned into arts education and philanthropy, recognizing the power of creativity as a tool for healing, transformation, and belonging. She has since dedicated herself to building accessible, community-rooted spaces where imagination is nurtured, collaboration is encouraged, and creative voices are uplifted.
Tanya believes deeply in the power of creative courage - the willingness to take risks, challenge norms, and imagine what’s possible. She brings that ethos to every space she enters, holding true to the idea that art doesn’t just reflect the world - it reimagines it, and in doing so, calls us to rediscover what’s possible within ourselves.
