Fiske Guide names Willamette as one of the best colleges for 2023

by Marketing and Communications,

Willamette University is a ”place where you can grow as a student, leader and person as you pursue your passions,” according to the 2023 Fiske Guide to College

Fiske Guide logoThe selective guide of over 300 colleges and universities has again included Willamette as one of the “best and most interesting” colleges in the U.S., Canada and the UK.

Praised for its rigorous academics, collaborative environment and strong undergraduate research opportunities, Willamette offers students a wealth of on and off-campus learning experiences, including an extensive study abroad program

“Willamette students are positive, motivated, smart individuals,” said one student. “They want to give back, but also achieve highly.”

Small classes and dedicated faculty contribute to a more personal atmosphere than larger universities.

"Professors are committed to their students as their first priority," one chemistry major said.

But the university's vast number of clubs, annual Black Tie Affair formal dance and tradition of throwing friends into the Mill Stream on their birthday makes Willamette "unabashedly itself."

"Community members from all backgrounds feel very comfortable being themselves and embracing who they are," said one student.
