Eligibility
Eligible students will have an interest in learning how to improve lives and build healthy communities through Public Health. Heatherington Scholars are welcome but not required to major in Public Health. Participants will collaborate with one another, with faculty, and with the FamilyCare Pre-Health Director to dive deep into important issues such as disease prevention, access to care and environmental health. Award amounts will vary based on the strength of application and financial need.

- Apply for admission to Willamette University
- Submit the Heatherington Scholars in Public Health application, including:
- A response of 250 words (minimum) to the following:
- How and when did you become interested in public health? For example, some students first discover a love for public health through their involvement in other areas, such as community wellbeing, public safety or environmental health.
- Please tell us about one or more ways in which you have been, or hope to be, engaged in public or community health.
- A response of 250 words (minimum) to the following:
- Finalists will be invited to interview with the program directors.
