Orientation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, and classes will begin the following week. The MSDS program follows this academic calendar.
Next Steps
Here are the next steps in the enrollment process. Please contact the MSDS admissions team with any questions.
- Confirm your intent to enroll. The form can be found on your application portal.
- If you plan to finance your education with federal student loans, connect with Willamette’s Office of Financial Aid.
- We need official transcripts from each school you have attended, except Willamette. Contact the MSDS admissions team for instructions.
- Upload your student ID card photo. We'll have your card ready for you to pick up when you arrive on campus.
- Confirm or update your emergency contact information.
- Submit your online health history and immunization information to Bishop Wellness Center via the Student Health Portal.
- Learn more about Willamette’s student health insurance and how to waive coverage should you already have a comparable plan.
- Need to brush up on your statistics or programming knowledge? MSDS faculty recommend these online courses:

Location Update
Our Portland-based courses will be offered at the new Willamette University Graduate Center effective fall semester, 2024. Nestled in the vibrant Pearl District, our space within the Ecotrust building will also house Portland-based classes for the Master's in Computer Science and MBA for Professionals programs.
