2023 Featured Graduates

Samantha Baker

“Because of Willamette Law, I am graduating with my JD as a first generation law student and mother of two toddlers. Willamette has given me the opportunity to pursue my dreams while supporting me every step of the way. Inside the classroom, I learned from top professors, practicing attorneys, and local judges. Outside the classroom, I gained invaluable practical experience, leadership skills, and confidence while working in a variety of legal positions. These skills will enable me to thrive in both my career and community, and I’ll always be grateful to Willamette for its role in my journey.”

B. Casey Payseno

“Because of Willamette Law, I am now prepared to join the legal profession and make meaningful changes in people's lives. In addition to receiving a high quality education, participating in the Willamette Clinical Law Program gave me hands-on experience working directly with clients. Through the clinic experience, I assisted clients with modest means through the probate process and developed estate plans for members of the community. These experiences provided me with the skills and technical knowledge necessary for practicing law after graduation. I have also had the opportunity to become engaged with affinity groups through the Oregon State Bar and expand my professional network in the legal community.”
