Meet our new Interim Director of Indigenous Partnership Programs

We are very excited to announce that Adrianna Nicolay '19 has been hired as the Interim Director of the Chemawa Program and Indigenous Partnerships.

Adrianna (she/they) is a Diné graduate student from Shiprock, NM, currently working toward a Ph.D. in Geography at Oregon State University. They received their BA in Environmental Science from Willamette University in 2019 and MS in Water, Society and Policy in 2021. During their time at Willamette, they were involved with the Native and Indigenous Student Union (NISU) and collaborated with other students to cultivate support for current and future students.

As a former Chemawa tutor, Adrianna brings a wealth of knowledge to this role. Adrianna will also be working with the Salem-Keizer School District's Native Education Program to identify opportunities for partnership.

The Chemawa course will take place on Wednesdays from 4:15-5:30 p.m. Tutoring will take place on Chemawa's campus throughout the spring semester. For students that are interested in enrolling or have questions, please contact Adrianna (alnicolay@willamette.edu) for course approval.
