Help needed for Hawai'i Club's 2022 Lū'au

Contact: Shione Mochizuki

Hawai'i Club is looking for help with planning and executing their upcoming Lū'au in April 2022.

What is Lū'au? Lū'au is a traditional Hawaiian celebration accompanied by food and entertainment. During a typical year at Willamette University, over 100 students from various hometowns come together as performers and volunteers to ensure that we can put on a wonderful show. On average, Lū'au attracts 700 people from Willamette University and the surrounding Salem Community.

Given the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are planning to put together a similar celebration but on a smaller scale on Saturday, April 23. We still plan to have a guest artist for live music, hula dancing, Hawaiian food, a country store and maybe even games.

But in order to execute such an event, we need your help. Whether that's through leading a committee, dancing, choreographing, volunteering, etc. Prior experience is not necessary to participate and or help out at this event.
