Career initiatives grow and align at Willamette University

Contact: Connie Ralph

Exciting changes happening in career support for undergraduate and graduate students at Willamette.

In the past six months, we have hired six new career professionals to support the career needs of students across the institution increasing our career team to 10 professionals.

This investment in our students and their career readiness is a key part of the overall strategy to ensure Willamette is producing future-ready graduates. To best support this innovative team, we have aligned the leadership and strategy of career initiatives under a new role, Executive Director of Career Initiatives, that will be filled by Mandy Devereux.

Our career team now includes dedicated staff in both Salem and Portland to serve our undergraduate and graduate students across programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, Pacific Northwest College of Art, Atkinson Graduate School of Management and our Committee of Studies in Data and Computer Science.

The team has been designed to provide expertise across career communities and industry areas so our students, faculty, alumni and employers can engage with a career expert who can provide them with connections and opportunities for the future.

Our career team is excited to meet you and would love the opportunity to partner with you and your students in classes, events, programs, or advising sessions. Feel free to contact us at career-development@willamette.edu.
