The Office of Spiritual and Religious Life talks labyrinths

Contact: Kimberly E Griggs

The Office of SRL invites participation in beginning conversations of bringing a labyrinth to campus.

The Office of Spiritual and Religious Life is beginning thoughts and conversations around the installment of a labyrinth on Willamette University’s campus. Labyrinths are used for various reasons, such as for meditative practices and walking rituals, by many people of different ethical, spiritual and religious traditions. They evoke metaphor, sacred geometry, spiritual pilgrimage, religious practice, mindfulness, environmental art and community building. If you are interested in labyrinths or being a part of this process, please contact Chaplain Ineda at ipadesanya@willamette.edu.

In addition to this, we are looking forward to discussing labyrinths and creating finger labyrinths together at “Convo: Labyrinth- it is more than just a maze” on March 31. You’re invited to bring your lunch and join us in Cone Chapel from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
