ASWU seeks volunteers for the Elections Commission

Contact: Inez A Nieves

Three seats are open on the commission overseeing student government elections.

The Elections Commission oversees the transparent election of all Associated Students of Willamette University senators and officers.

The commission is chaired by ASWU Vice President Ian Curtis and has five open seats: one each for a current ASWU senator and justice, as well as three at-large members of the student body.

In the event that a member of the commission runs for ASWU office, they will not participate in the election process and a replacement will be chosen. Being a part of this commission is a great way to ensure that students are justly represented in their student government.

If you are interested in serving on this commission, please email Ian Curtis at imcurtis@willamette.edu. Should you have any questions about ASWU, its mission, and its work, please contact Press Secretary Inéz Nieves at ianieves@willamette.edu with your concerns.
