To-go boxes and returning items to Goudy

Contact: Nicole Arreola-Canonica

Reusable to-go box containers will be introduced to Goudy Commons in the coming months.

To-go option

A reminder that one box, one soup cup, and one drink cup per meal swipe are available upon request from the cashier at the time of entry. This option is for a meal to be taken to-go, not as an additional meal after eating in Goudy or for leftover food.

To-go boxes will not be provided after you have left the cashier station. Dishware is not provided for to-go meals. Diners who take to-go boxes cannot eat that meal in the dining area. If you wish to have more than what your box will hold, we invite you to enjoy the all-inclusive model for in-person dining.

Health codes restrict the ability for outside containers to be used in Goudy.

Don’t forget about the to-go options offered through the GET app, the Blitz Market meal equivalency, and Rick’s Cafe. Subscribe to Menu Mail to receive the daily menu in your inbox!

Returning plates and utensils

At the start of the school year, Goudy purchased over 300 spoons for service which has now been reduced to 20. This is not enough to supply for everyone at meal services. We ask that anyone who has Goudy dishware and utensils to return it to help avoid the cost of purchasing more.

If you live in the residence hall, labeled crates have been provided for these items. Simply deposit any extra dishes to be collected and returned to Goudy. If you are an employee on campus please return these items or contact Bon Appetit and your items can be collected. This will help to keep costs down by cutting back on the paper waste to better meet the sustainability goals of Willamette University and Bon Appetit.

Quieter dining options

For diners seeking a smaller, quieter place to eat away from the bustle of the dining room, two rooms divided by a partition, the Chloe Clarke Willson Room and the Gustavus Hines Room (referred to as the Willson-Hines Room) are available when the rooms have not been reserved for events. When exiting the servery and before entering the dining room, turn to the left and head down the corridor and to the right are the two available rooms. We ask that those who chose this location be mindful of this being designed for quieter dining.
