Contact: Juliane Corpus

Participants will learn what allyship and accompliceship are and gain skills to work collaboratively across difference and dismantle systems of power.

The Gender Resource & Advocacy Center and Office of Intercultural Engagement & Inclusion are hosting a 4-part workshop series called "Do Better: Allyship to Accompliceship" (A2A).

Participants will learn what allyship and accompliceship are and gain skills to work collaboratively across difference and dismantle systems of power. We will dive into a variety of topics such as: Identity, Shared language; Comfortability vs. uncomfortability; Intersectionality; Brave space & community; Unconscious bias; Radical love; Anti-colonialism & white supremacy culture; Addressing & coping with white guilt; Holding space; and more

At this time, workshops will only be available on the Salem campus and will be held in the early evenings of Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 from 4:30-6pm. By signing up, you will be required to attend each workshop in the series. Due to the vulnerable nature and humanization required to participate, all sessions will be in-person with no virtual option.

Registration for the Fall cohort closes on October 7th and March 6th for the Spring cohort.

For any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to Juliane Corpus, the Director of Intercultural Engagement & Inclusion or Lisa Logan, the Director of the Gender Resource & Advocacy Center.
