Anne Lapour has over 20 years of experience studying and serving students in the development of their career aspirations. Anne is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, and received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She stayed on at Missouri to earn her PhD in Counseling Psychology, and completed her pre-doctoral internship at Duke University. She has worked in career development at Oregon State University, and now enjoys being a part of the Willamette University community. Anne teaches the career planning and decision-making class, and loves helping students come to a better understanding of their strengths and aspirations.
As an undergraduate Anne considered becoming everything from a geneticist to a Victorian literature scholar. She finally found her professional home in higher education, and believes there’s no more beautiful place to arrive to work than on a college campus. In her spare time, you can find her exploring the Oregon countryside with her family, writing, cooking, or curled up with a good novel.
