To help protect the well-being of minors, this course is assigned to those who will work directly with children at Willamette.

The course is comprised of two lessons.  The first lesson, Identifying and Reporting Sexual Misconduct, examines concrete ways to recognize, prevent, and report situations of sexual misconduct by educators. The learner will test their own decision-making skills through scenarios based on actual cases of abuse.  This second lession, Shine a Light, is a short video covering the warning signs of sexual abuse by adults. It also reviews specific locations to keep an eye on and concrete steps for reporting incidents or suspicions.
