The French and Francophone Studies Department at Willamette University encourages its students to participate in the rich variety of study abroad options offered through our Office of International Education. Students can study in France after the equivalent of two years of college French. We recommend that all majors spend at least a semester abroad in order to develop their language skills in an immersion context and acquire a first hand understanding of French culture and civilization.
