Applying for Funding

The Green Fund Committee seeks to provide financial support to a number of projects and programs advancing sustainability, equity, and social justice at Willamette University and in our community.

Students, staff and faculty are invited to develop and submit mini-grant and annual grant proposals. Mini-grants of between $500 and $3,000 are offered throughout the academic year with several deadlines (see below). These smaller grants aim to give funds to individuals hoping to make a quicker impact.

Annual grant proposals support projects with budgets greater than $3,000.These are considered by the committee once per year with a deadline in late February and are typically projects that have longer timelines.

When developing proposals we strongly encourage students to work with staff and/or faculty, and to consult with the non-voting members of the Green Fund Committee.

When looking over grant applications, the committee will consider all of the above as it relates to both your proposal and the Green Fund's mission and values.
