As part of our ongoing website migration, this morning we launched the new faculty/staff profile and listing pages for the main* Willamette website. This update affects the look and feel of those pages, and adds some new functionality for our site visitors. Here’s a summary of the changes:
Faculty/Staff Listing pages
Profiles are now formatted as “cards” in a 3-across grid on desktop and as stacked cards on mobile – similar to the view of academic programs on our Majors & Programs page. These profile cards are sorted automatically by last name, but can be filtered and searched by these fields:
- New ‘Filter by Group’ and ‘Filter by Campus” fields will show if there are multiple groups and/or campuses listed
- New search feature allows visitors to search by name, job title or any other text that’s shown on the cards
Faculty/Staff Profile pages
The formatting of these pages has also changed slightly with new optional fields that include:
- Personal pronouns
- Multiple campus locations
- Optional pull quote
- Optional video card gallery
