Pacific Power Foundation grant awarded

Contact: Erin Boers

A student scholarship will be awarded to a student from Pacific Power's service area.

For the third time, the Pacific Power Foundation has awarded funding for a student scholarship. In June, Pacific Power Foundation's Cooper Whitman visited campus to present a check to Willamette's Assistant Director of Institutional Grants, Erin Boers. This scholarship will help a student from a low-income or historically underserved background graduate from college.

The Pacific Power Foundation is one of the largest utility-endowed foundations in the United States. The foundation was created in 1988 by PacifiCorp, an electric utility serving 1.8 million customers in six Western states as Rocky Mountain Power (Utah, Wyoming and Idaho) and Pacific Power (Oregon, Washington and California). The foundation’s mission, through charitable investments, is to support the growth and vitality of the communities served by Rocky Mountain Power and Pacific Power.
