Don Thomson, new Associate Dean for Health and Well-being

Don Thompson has been promoted to a new position.

I am pleased to announce the promotion of Don Thomson, MS, LPC, Director of the Bishop Wellness Center to the Associate Dean for Health and Well-being.

Don will continue to lead the staff and work of the Bishop Wellness Center but this new title is a reflection of the evolution of his role as a leader in the care for students and their well-being.

He has been an integral member of the University COVID advisory team, has served as a liaison to public health agencies, and has improved structures to assist Willamette students gain access to care and community health resources. Don is also serving as a co-chair of the JED Campus initiative where members are developing a multi-year strategic plan designed to enhance student well-being through a collaboration with the JED Foundation.

Through his years of excellent work and commitment to the Willamette community, he has become a trusted leader and counsel to many throughout the University. Please join me in congratulating Don!
