Long-Term Disability (LTD)

Willamette University provides Long-Term Disability (LTD) insurance through Guardian. The group Long Term Disability (LTD) insurance is designed to replace a substantial part of lost income in the event of total disability. 


Benefits begin after 90 days of disability or the exhaustion of sick leave, whichever is latest. The plan pays 60% of the employee's salary up to $6,000 per month. Benefits will be reduced by payments received under Workers' Compensation and/or Social Security laws. The University pays the entire cost of this coverage and is automatic for all eligible employees who are .75 annualized FTE or greater. 

Benefits Eligibility

Available to employees who work at least 75% of a full-time schedule annually.
