Requirements for the Business Major

The BS in Business Administration requires 13 business courses (52 semester hours), 1 major internship (4 semester hours), a prerequisite course in statistics and in Microeconomics/Macroeconomics, and completion of the General Education Program requirements.

The undergraduate statistics prerequisite can be satisfied by one of the following courses: MATH 138, ECON 230, PSYC 253, IDS 138, or equivalent (transfer credit, a score of 4 or 5 on AP Statistics).

The microeconomics and macroeconomics prerequisite can be satisfied by ECON 112, both of ECON 363 and ECON 364, or equivalent (transfer credit, a score of 4 or 5 on AP Economics/Micro and AP Economics/Macro).


Requirements for the Business Minor

(20 Semester Hours)

The business minor can be paired with any College of Arts & Sciences major, complementing the Willamette liberal arts experience with professional training in management and powerful tools that employers value.

The business minor is comprised of five courses, introducing students to the fundamentals of management and managerial disciplines — leadership, accounting, organizations, finance, and marketing.
