TRANSFORMATIONS: The George And Colleen Hoyt Collection Of Northwest Coast Art

This exhibition traces the revival and history of contemporary Northwest Coast Indigenous art over the past 75 years through the George and Colleen Hoyt Collection of Pacific Northwest Art. It includes a stunning array of masks, wooden objects, and prints by some of Canada and Alaska’s most important and distinguished artists. The collection is a promised gift from the Hoyts to the Hallie Ford Museum of Art.

Rick Silva: Western Fronts

Rick Silva: Western Fronts

In this video installation, Eugene artist Rick Silva transports viewers over four spectacular national monuments. This work contemplates the colliding interests and the complexities of the future of these special landscapes, touching on the relationships between Indigenous rights, corporate interests, public access to lands, and conservation. It also includes a sound design created by Kuedo + Holy Other.
