Building Toward An Expanded Regional Festival in 2025

This festival is growing every year. Our first summer in 2014 featured 3 plays, one performance each, with almost no production values. In 2021 the festival had grown to 6 productions, 24 performances, with professionally designed sets, lights, sound, props, and costumes. And we are just getting started.

We are building toward another major expansion in 2025. Productions will be moved back one month to free up the month of August. All productions will be remounted and run in repertory throughout August creating two distinct festivals. May through July for Willamette Valley patrons and August for regional patrons. We are planning to add adult creative writing workshops and Northwest visual art exhibits to the August festival.

Distance patrons will be able to take in 3 new plays, a Pop-Up reading, take a creative writing workshop, and explore world class art exhibits within a few days.

In the meantime, come to Salem to catch a dynamic new play by a Northwest playwright, enjoy the best wine country in the country, and explore all the summer events in and around Salem, Silver Falls, great hiking, the coast, Bend and Sisters. In the coming months, this page will include hotel, dining, wine tasting, local event, and day-trip excursion suggestions, so stay tuned.
