Immerse yourself in the natural and social sciences and gain a deep understanding of human impact on the natural world.

Welcome to the first environmental science program in the Pacific Northwest. This is your chance to make a significant contribution to your world.

Our faculty members are experts in climate change, environmental geoscience, public and environmental health, natural resources management, geoarchaeology, spatial science, sustainability and forest ecology. Choose the area(s) that ignite your passion and watch the doors start to open.

Whether you’re at the Oregon State Capitol, the university’s forest at Zena, the shores of the Oregon Coast, or in communities around the world, you’ll gain invaluable professional experience. And you’ll develop your skills as a creative thinker and problem solver.

These experiences — combined with your finely honed environmental ethos — will prepare you for a wide range of careers, including research, government, forest management, education, business, community-based organizations, the nonprofit sector and law.
