Click here to watch the Willamette University MBA Professional Dress Video.
Business Formal: Business formal attire is expected on Thursday of Compass Week. It is also the preferred attire for interviews, to work in formal companies, and professional presentations.
Both men and women should wear a business suit with matching pants or skirt. Black, gray or navy is typical. Men should wear a button-down shirt and dress shoes. Women should wear a button-down blouse or shell, clear or solid-color nylons and close-toed shoes.
Business Casual: Business Casual attire is expected on Monday and Tuesday of Compass Week. Business casual is also expected for company events and treks.
Business casual attire is more relaxed than business formal, but still professional attire. Men typically wear golf shirts or button-down shirts and slacks. Women typically wear dresses, skirts or slacks. Jackets, button-down shirts, ties, nylons and close-toed shoes are not required. Jeans, tennis shoes and athletic attire should be avoided.
Casual Attire: Casual attire is expected on Friday of Compass Week.
Casual attire is what students typically wear to school on an average day and what employees might wear on 'casual Friday' to work. Jeans, t-shirts, jackets, sweaters, casual dresses and slacks are typical as are tennis shoes or sandals.
Athletic Wear: Athletic attire is expected on Wednesday for the YWAM ropes course as there will be physical activity required. Typical athletic wear includes sweat pants, yoga pants, t-shirts, shorts or other sports clothing with tennis shoes and/or comfortable, loose clothing for physical activity.
